Possibly for the first time in Lev Aharon history, our Lag Ba’Omer bus took off as scheduled at 5:30 a.m. with full attendance; thank you Rabbi Shub and Rabbi Landsman.

The day started with Shacharit overlooking the Kinneret at the Kever of Rav Meir Baal Hannes followed by breakfast and then on to a nature hike to a beautiful waterfall in the Golan Heights. The boys had a blast rafting down the Jordan River. Afterwards, staff and students headed to Meron where, Baruch Hashem, we were able to

pray and exit before the terrible tragedy that took place. The boys left Meron at 12:00 a.m., but just an hour later, the boys were deeply pained and devastated along with Klal Yisrael with the horrific news coming from Meron. Our scheduled Shabbaton in Netanya offered them a little respite and relaxation to clear their minds. The

delicious food, camaraderie and ruach infused the boys with the stamina to keep on going. This Thursday evening, together with other yeshivot (Rabbi Fiazi and Moreshet), we are planning a memorial to the 45 kedoshim that died in Meron on Lag Ba’Omer, followed by a kumzitz into the night that we hope will bring chizuk to us all.
